Sizani biedt vanuit Nederland financiële ondersteuning aan de organisatie SA Cares for Life.

Dear all,
After a very busy week in the foster home, I felt that it would be good to give you an update of how the children and parents are doing.
Daniel* have been admitted to hospital on Tuesday morning, after a visit to the clinic for his medical condition. He is still in hospital and is being treated for dehydration and malnutrition. Edith, our foster mother, had a busy week travelling to hospital, but are so blessed by the good service that he is receiving in hospital. We are convinced that he has been rescued from very sad circumstances, but that he has a hope and a future in the foster home. He will hopefully be going home this week!
Abigail* has been settling in at the foster home, and will be going to her new school this week. We have appreciated the support from the Early Learning Centre (also a project of SA Cares for Life), next door from the foster homes, where the principle were looking after Abigail* in the school, while Edith were at the hospital. We say thank you to Gloria for her part in the week that we had! Abigail* has been blessed with clothes, toys and items from our Donations Depot, and she could hardly sleep due to her excitement. She woke up early the next morning, and were parading in her new shoes and clothes. What a blessing!
With the medical crisis that we had with Daniel* this week, we came to the realization that there is no Ambulance services in Mmakaunyane, and that there were no available public transport during the night. This will pose a serious challenge for us in the future, and we are looking into a solution for the transport challenge. At the moment we are paying a hefty fee for public transport in the form of taxi’s and spend hours waiting for taxis in the area. We are in a desperate need for a small vehicle, as well as a possible sponsor for the petrol and maintenance of such a vehicle. Please trust with us, that we will be successful in this!
Trust that you will have a blessed week! Thank you for taking our hands in caring for the children in South Africa.
Warm regards

1st FOSTER HOME – LEGAE LA TSHEPO – HOUSE OF HOPE
NEWS FLASH!!!
Just thought of sharing with you the wonderful news about our first 2 children. We admitted a baby boy of 9 months Daniel* and a girl of 8 years old Abigail* today.
The baby boy’s mother is mentally ill, and is unable to care for him. He is very malnourished at the moment, and will receive immediate medical attention at the local clinic. All other family members are also mentally ill, and unable to care for him!
The girl of 8 years old is also placed in the foster home, due to her mother’s terminal illness. Her mother was admitted to a Hospice, and is very sick at the moment. There are no other family members who can take care of her at the moment.
* Not the real names, to protect the children’s identity, as expected by the Child Care Act of SA
Please pray with us for their integration into the home and also for the foster mother in caring for these traumatized children.
Kind regards from Pretoria,
